And already this year, on the eve of the Independence Day celebrations, Belcard and the Grodno administration joined this campaign.
On June 29, activists of the Belarusian Peace Foundation, the administration of Belcard, Grodno, labor veterans, the Armed Forces and their families solemnly opened a stand for the memory of veterans of the Great Patriotic War who worked at Belcard and Grodno. Photos of ten veterans will meet and greet factory workers every day. It is planned that every year, on the eve of the Independence Day of the Republic of Belarus, new photos of veterans of the Great Patriotic War will appear on the stand.
At the solemn opening of the board there were children – pupils of the sponsored kindergarten №69. For them, this is an unusual event, but very important.
The memory of the war is our duty and sacred duty. We are the descendants of the Great People who won the Great Victory in the Great Patriotic War at the cost of the greatest sacrifices. And this can not be forgotten.
