The National Library of Belarus summed up the results of the republican poetic contest “The Happiness of Living in a Peaceful Country!”

The festive ceremony took place on September 18 at the National Library of Belarus and was timed to the Day of Peace, annually celebrated in Belarus every third Tuesday of September.

At the solemn event, the Belarusian Peace Foundation summed up the results of the republican contest of children’s poems “The Happiness of Living in a Peaceful Country!” Timed to the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders. The contest was held throughout the year throughout the country. It is not surprising that all schools of our country responded to the invitation to participate in it. Thousands of schoolchildren across Belarus took up handles to express their thoughts and hopes in a poetic form about what they believe to be such simple truths as happiness and peace.

The winners of the regional, regional and republican stage of the contest were invited to the final award – all those whose poems were included in the collection of poems “Children from the World” which was presented at the event, and this is more than 150 children from all over the country. For many students, it was their first a trip to the capital, so the Belarusian Peace Foundation prepared for all children an interesting program that included a tour of the main library of the country, the opportunity to see this exhibition of holograms, as well as participate in the interactive “Give 5 good “, Organized by” 5th Element “.02 In addition to schoolchildren, the event was attended by the leadership of the NGO “Belarusian Peace Foundation”, representatives of legislative and executive authorities, leaders of public organizations of the Republic of Belarus, members of the diplomatic corps and heads of UN organizations in Belarus, heads of major religious denominations representatives of science, culture, education also representatives of mass media guests from partner organizations of the Belarusian Peace Foundation abroad.

Perhaps the most important event for many guys was the awarding of the winners of the republican stage. So the first degree diplomas were Vidnevich Maxim, Bondar Polina, Anatsko Kirill, Kandybo Arina, Gargun Alla, Zharikova Anna and Yurkevich Anastasia.15 The second place was taken by Bogatyreva Ekaterina, Kovalevsky Ivan, Shpak Anastasia, Tomashevich Angelina, Akola Alina, Statkevich Dmitriy and Akula Daria.14 Diplomas of the third degree were given to Savitskaya Anna, Savostina Elizaveta, Burdyka Nikita, Kazinskaya Julia, Zhodavtseva Valeria, Zhukovsky Roman and Solovyova Victoria.13 The winners received gifts from sponsors and partners of the event – Bocsh, 5 Element, and Conte Spa, as well as diplomas signed by the head of the Belarusian Peace Foundation and the ministers of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Belarus, the Ministry of Information of the Republic of Belarus and the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus.

As a gift from the Belarusian Peace Foundation, each child received a copy of the book “Children for Peace” with his poem as well as during the holiday, the chairman of the board of the Belarusian Peace Foundation Maxim Miskorasscu stated that the Peace Foundation decided to transfer a set of books “Children for Peace” – essays and “Children for Peace” – poems in every district library of the country. Director of the National Library of Belarus Motulsky Roman Stepanovich promised to provide organizational support in this. Thus, with the creativity of children will be able to meet a wider range of readers.12 A pleasant surprise for the participants of the holiday were the speeches of the guests of honor of the event. These are the heads of the main religious confessions, representatives of the ministries-partners of the competition, deputies of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, the permanent UN coordinator in the Republic of Belarus, representatives of foreign diplomatic missions and organizations in our country, members of the Writers’ Union of Belarus and many others.

All of them took advantage of the moment to once again congratulate all the guys with their creative success and wished them further development of their talents. In addition, each of the guests of honor chose a poem that he liked most, and read it aloud, giving moments of joy and pride to young poets.

During the solemn event, the show theater “Khvilinka” performed for the participants. The song was also performed by Honored Artist of the Republic of Belarus, Deputy of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Belarus Irina Dorofeeva. 25At parting, the participants and guests made a general photo. This day will go down in history of the Belarusian Peace Foundation as one of the brightest and friendly holidays in the world!
