Former soldiers – for ninety. But they are in formation

A bouquet of red carnations – one of the symbols of The victory Day, candy, cash assistance – with such gifts on the eve of the holiday visited six veterans of the great Patriotic war, the Chairman of the regional organization of the Belarusian peace Fund Svetlana Chizhikova, her Deputy, head of education of the Executive Committee Inna Drapeza. With deep respect and daughter warmth they thanked our dear veterans for the Victory, for peace in their native Belarus. We all admire their fortitude and courage, their resilience. Each of them is a hero, each has its own military history, its own destiny.

«I go to the store myself!»

Cozy apartment in an old house in Vilenskaya. On the modern door there is a beautiful sign with a red star, announcing that a war participant lives here. Just below – another plate with the words «Thank you for the Victory!».

— This is children from boarding school attached. They are great fellows, often come to us! – meets us on the threshold of Alexander Ivanovich Avdeev.

The former intelligence officer of the eighth army of the 940 regiment is 94 years old, but he keeps well. To our parish dressed up in a ceremonial jacket with numerous medals and orders, and the most expensive of them the order of the Patriotic war. Alexander Ivanovich is from Smolensk. At the beginning of the war he was taken to the rear, went to the front in 42-m, served in intelligence. Rzhev was wounded, after recovery he returned to duty. Victory met in the Polish Bristles. And mobilized only in the 49th, he served in Arkhangelsk, where he met his future wife, a Ukrainian. Their marriage to Ekaterina Andreevna is 68 years old!

49 year Alexander arrived in Molodechno, took a job as a driver. All my life I worked at the carpool №2.

Son lives in Birch, the daughter in Ashmyany, Avdeeva four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren. Relatives often visit, but the couple say that they cope with household problems themselves.

— I go to the grocery store myself! – cheerfully reports 94-year-old veteran.

On the Windows of the apartment – boxes with seedlings of tomatoes.

— Do you still garden? we asked.

— No, for my daughter raise — smiling Ekaterina Andreevna.

Very friendly, positive – this is probably the secret of their longevity. It happens like this: just get to know people, and migrate to them in great affection, I remember them fondly. Alexander Ivanovich and Ekaterina Andreevna like that. Health, Sunny days, good emotions we wished them goodbye.

«It is very important to build cities for people…»

Not only military awards – the order of Patriotic war of the second degree, a medal «For a victory over Germany» — on a ceremonial jacket of the former wireless operator of 97 separate battalion of air supervision, the notification and communication of Mikhail Romanovich Metelsky. In peacetime, he was a Builder, awarded the order of the red banner of Labor. Daughter Tatyana said that for twenty years he was a Deputy Governor «Molodechnoles» worked in other construction companies, participated in the construction of many buildings in our city.

At the meeting Mikhail Romanovich was very excited, thanked for attention and memory. In previous years, he participated in the events dedicated to the victory Day, but this year because of his health will not be able to come to the rally. The more expensive for him the attention of activists of the Belarusian peace Fund, journalists «MG».

— Thank you, that remember about me, that visited! – the veteran said goodbye.

With a severe wound was crawling for two days. And survived!

Only 16 years old was a Belarusian boy from Vitebsk Stepan Filipovsky when the war began. At this time he was engaged in school of factory training in Leningrad.

— Our factory reformed in Leningrad the first emergency battalion, was given the form — jackets, pants, boots, hats with earflaps with a red star, — says Stepan Grigorievich. – We built a narrow-gauge railway to lake Ladoga.

In 1942 Stepan was drafted into the army, fought on the Leningrad front. In one of the battles under the Red Forest he was seriously wounded. The bullet hit his face, shattered his jaw, came out near his ear. In addition, the leg was damaged. Two days he crawled to his from the battlefield, overcoming pain, exhausted from hunger and cold. Fate was written to survive.

— Crawled right to the dugout, the officer was sitting in it. I can’t really tell, it’s in my mouth. He offers to eat, I can not take a piece…

On the narrow-gauge railway, which he built, the young soldier was evacuated from the hospital on Vasilevsky island, he met the victory in the city of Kirov.

In 1946 he came to Molodechno, found his mother, about whom he knew nothing throughout the war. He worked in DOSAF, was the chief of combat, and the last 27 years before retirement worked as a mechanic on Sputnik. Veteran lives in his house on the street

Free, his daughters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren take care of him. The big family gathers in the parental house for the victory Day to congratulate the father, the grandfather, the great-grandfather on the most expensive and sacred holiday for it.

It was nice to see the Maladzechan newspaper on the veteran’s Desk. And in honor of the victory Day and the 75th anniversary of the liberation, the regional organization of the Belarusian peace Fund will give Semyon Filipovsky and two other war veterans a subscription to our newspaper. Let them continue to be aware of the events of the city and the district, do not lose interest in life!
