Two soldiers of the great Patriotic war were solemnly reburied at the Posetsky cemetery in starodorozhsky district with the help of the Belarusian Foundation.
Dmitry Davydov, Chairman of the starodorozhsky district branch of the Belarusian peace Foundation, Oleg Belokonev, Deputy of the House of representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, representatives of the district Executive Committee and public organizations of Starodorozhchina, the Slutsk military Commissariat, the 8th radiation, chemical and biological protection brigade, and members of the Korzh search party under the Republican Council of veterans paid tribute to the two heroes of the forty-first. Long days of painstaking study of military maps and documents, surveys of battle sites, search operations-and the result: two more unknown soldiers of the 121st rifle division were raised and solemnly reburied in the Posetsky cemetery. Not a dot-an ellipsis in the great work that is being carried out by the search team named after V. Z. Korzh at the Republican Council of veterans with the support of the Slutsk military Commissariat and the administration of the starodorozhsky district. There is still a lot of work ahead. After all, there are many of them here-heroically killed in the forests of old-Road soldiers of the 121st rifle and other units, who were the first to take the hit of the fascist troops and the last to withdraw from the battle lines. Only death stopped their unequal battle with the enemy and forced them to lay down their weapons. They were left lying in our forests, covered with the local Golden sand and soft moss.
They are covered with pines, strawberries, and mushrooms, and from time to time the Earth returns them to us one by one, reminding us that the war is not over until the last soldier is buried. Two more were honored last week, on the eve of a big holiday. The names of the dead soldiers could not be found, but we were able to honor their memory, give them a decent last shelter, and bury them according to the Christian custom — and this is quite a lot. There are probably no families in Belarus who did not hide, mourn, or lose their lives during the war… Deputy Oleg Belokonev spoke about the memory and gratitude for peace and freedom, about the feat of famous and unknown soldiers of the Patriotic war over the graves of heroes. Dmitry Davydov, Chairman of the starodorozhsky district branch of the Belarusian peace Foundation, said in his speech: «it has been 75 years since the bloodiest war in the history of mankind ended. The echo of that war echoes painfully in our hearts. Even after decades, our long-suffering land continues to preserve in its bowels soldiers who were not buried according to Christian customs. Apparently, this is the soldiers of the 121 Rifle division, it was on this land from 6 to 12 August 1941 that the division fought fierce battles in a dense environment of fascist troops. Unfortunately, we do not know the names of these soldiers, but for us they will always be great soldiers of the great Victory.»The military honor badges were given to the dead by the servicemen of the 8 RKHBA, who carried the guard of memory at the red coffins. A gun salute echoed in the quiet of the village cemetery… Eternal light, the Holy memory of all those who never returned from the bloody fields of her!
